01 · about
About me
I’m a Computer Science graduate from Reykjavík University with a deep curiosity for problem-solving and a strong focus on data science, machine learning, AI, and mathematics. Alongside my studies I spent two years as a full-stack developer at LS Retail, where I was selected into their competitive Future Leaders Program.
Most recently I completed a research project in collaboration with ETH Zürich, with a paper in preparation for submission to a peer-reviewed conference. I’m also drawn to cybersecurity, with hands-on CTF experience, and I’m looking for a team where I can keep growing and make a meaningful contribution.

Analysis of Wind Farms Impact on Property Prices Using Difference-in-Differences
My BSc thesis took on a contested question: does living near a wind farm change what your home is worth? Using a difference-in-differences design across southern Great Britain, I found the nearest homes sell for about 4 percent less, and that actually seeing the turbines matters on top of distance.

Train a neural network
The field behind this page is a decorative neural net. This one is real. A tiny network learns to separate two classes of points using nothing but gradient descent, live in your browser: pick a pattern (or click the canvas to add your own points), then train.
your turn: add points, then train

Analysis of Wind Farms Impact on Property Prices Using Difference-in-Differences
A Reykjavík University × ETH Zürich research thesis measuring how wind farms move nearby house prices. Homes within 1 km sell for about 4 percent less, and actually seeing the turbines carries a penalty of its own, reaching 6 percent when many fill the view.

Off the clock
Two systems I like to take apart when I am not building software. A chessboard and a Formula 1 lap. The instinct behind both is the same, which is to understand how a thing really works, learn from mistakes, try to outsmart everyone else, and then enjoy watching it work.
