A genuine, ongoing interest in offensive and defensive security, built through competitions, a university club, and dedicated training.
Competing
I compete in capture-the-flag events across Iceland and the Nordics:
- Telia Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltic 2024
- Gagnaglíman CTF tournaments
Between events I train regularly on CTF practice platforms.
CySec at Reykjavík University
As an active member of CySec, Reykjavík University’s cybersecurity club, I took part in and contributed in events covering honeypot deployment, network traffic analysis, and penetration-testing techniques.
Training & bug bounty
Selected by Reykjavík University, I attended Arcanum’s reconnaissance course from Jason Haddix (The Bug Hunter’s Methodology), covering advanced recon, attack-surface mapping, and bug-bounty hunting. I’m also registered as an ethical hacker (defender) on Defend Iceland, the national bug-bounty platform that brings together ethical hackers to find vulnerabilities across Iceland’s digital infrastructure.
